Mosto is a place dedicated to home-brewed beers, where it is possible to find a wide variety of draft and bottled, national and international beers.
Its name has two different meanings: the first one comes from the word mosto (must), referring to the liquid obtained in the early phases of wine or beer production process; the second identifies two words "Mo Sto", a dialectal and very popular expression meaning “Now I Stay”.
The Mosto proposes also a risto-pub menu: quick and singular dishes made with seasonal ingredients, locally produced meat, salami and cheese coming from the Murgia, classical and special sandwiches. A good choice of wines is offered to those who prefer to enjoy a glass of red or white.
The Mosto occupies an old lamione (a typical barrel vault building, developed in length and used once for warehousing purposes) restructured in modern style to satisfy its young customers' tastes. The furnishings, result of detailed design works, use elements such as: iron, wood, glass and light. Many of them are made by the brewery managers themselves.
It is located in via Ridola, one of the most popular streets, permanently pedestrian area; this allows to set up an outdoor space in spring and summer time, where it is possible to enjoy a cold beer and the menu’s delicacies.
The brewery management is also very active in promoting cultural events: the Mosto is very often chosen for photographic exhibitions, books launches or music performances.
